LOL Toyota ... first you try to convince us that the new tarted-up Camry is a “sport sedan” instead of a beige appliance. Then you tout all the safety features in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! but ... oh no! Nothing like pulling blindly out from behind an RV on a narrow forest road into the oncoming lane!

Maybe in the next commercial they get hit head on and demonstrate the effectiveness of the airbags ...

What are you rebelling against here? That Toyota is actually trying to do something?

Watch the last part of the video ... the “dad” pulls out right into the opposite traffic lane blindly since it is unlikely he could see around the RV from that position. Bad editing - nothing against Toyota - but if they really want to get to great bring back a real Supra and the Cressida Wagon.

Or even just a wagon in general...

I’m not sure what’s more unrealistic- that ~30-yr-old motorhome’s braking ability on what appears to be a downhill section, or the look on that woman’s face as she turns to the driver. Like she wouldn’t be pissed at him for not paying attention...

I know right? My wife would be screaming and pumping the non-existent front passenger brake pedal!

The flamboyant exaggerated exhaust sound is the icing on the cake, not to mention that it implies a Camry might be out-braked by a 35 year old motorhome.

I saw one on the street recently ... and frankly the blander previous-generation looks better. Way too many styling gimmicks per square inch of bodywork for my taste. I predict steep discounts and a quick mid-cycle refresh.

I like that the new one doesn’t have such hilarious DLO fail in the C-pillar, but man, that front end. Talk about overcompensating for being called “bland” for so many years.
